This oil cooler bypass replaces the original oil cooler on the Type-1 engine and provides a metric M18x1.5 connection for an external oil cooler.
The M8 mounting hole pattern and the large oil ducts are adapted for use with late Type-1 engine cases (1970 onwards) but the oil cooler bypass can also be mounted on all cases with 6mm studs and small oil ducts (-'69).
Our mounting kit part number 5026 provides all necessary mounting hardware for the different engine cases.
