This upper-end engine kit is engineered to original Oettinger standards, and includes everything required to make the switch.
All original details have been preserved. From the OEM manufactured cylinder heads that maintain the original 7.5:1 compression ratio to the reproduction Solex 32PBIC carburetors, covered all bases to create the premier 36hp engine kit.
*Please note: Modification to the rain gutter required for convertible models. Will not fit pick-up models, or Karmann Ghia models.

These die-cast valve covers for Type 1 engines (not 24.5/30 hp) combine maximum internal rocker arm clearance with minimal external dimensions.
They dissipate heat effectively and, thanks to their intelligent design, ensure a perfect seal. Organic reinforcing ribs on the inside provide maximum rigidity.
Reliable sealing is achieved through a cord gasket and special stem bolts with additional O-rings.
The black textured powder-coated covers feature a generously reinforced area on both sides should vent holes be required later.
They are supplied with high-quality mounting hardware, including 10.9 grade special nuts, to guarantee engine reliability even at extreme RPMs and with high rocker arm ratios.
