This tool is CNC machined from aluminum and very useful for engine cases with shuffel pins.
Simply plug into the oil pump apperture and then carefully twist apart.
In conjunction with a lever on the flywheel side, the case can now be easily separated because the case splitter creates a fixed point.
Of course, it also works perfectly with normal Type-1, Type-4 and Waterboxer cases.
